This Origami model is a variation of Origami Boat built using square paper – it stays as easy and simple as the square variation except that here we use a rectangle sized paper instead of a square one. The end product is as elegant as the first version of Origami Boat.
To get started with Origami Boat, take a rectangular sheet of Origami paper of approximate measurement 8 inch x 6 inch as seen below.
Do a mountain fold along the middle of the shorter side of the Origami paper as shown. Crease well and keep it folded.
Do a valley fold on the folded paper. Then continue with further folds as shown in the images below.
When you press the right and left sides of the Origami model towards each other, the model opens up.
While the Origami model is open, turn by 90 degrees.
Press the sides against each other so that the sides stay together.
Crease well all the folds. You now have a square shaped model.
Open up a flap and fold alongside the diagonal of the square shape. Repeat the same with the other flap in the behind.
You now have a triangle shaped model.
You now press the left and right sides against each other, rotate by 90 degrees to arrive a square shape.
Hold the top folds of the Origami model and pull away the two flaps away from each other to come up with a neat little Origami boat.
